Have you ever had to turn down a job offer because it conflicted with other commitments, and how did it turn out?

Do you ever find yourself missing any aspects of your life before your family moved up in social class, or do you feel you’ve completely adapted?
I’m learning English. Is it okay to watch both British and American content at the same time? If I learn from both, will my English sound strange because it mixes the two?
