Why do Democrats have a problem with Trump taking crime and drugs off the streets unless they are the problem?

Is it grammatically correct to say, “it seems you are not okay because it is clearly written on your face”?
The way it would typically be said, though, is 'by the look of you, you don't seem to be OK'
