How would you characterize my voice?

Like high pitched, low pitched, clear, mumbly, whatever other metrics you can judge a voice by, etc. Ohh and do I have an accent to your ears? And like what accent would that be? Lol

Also side note I probably sound hella out of breath low key, don’t judge, it’s not cause I’m out of shape (I mean I am out of shape, but yeah) it’s because I was vigorously pacing back and forth through my kitchen and living room lol. Also if I sound kinda dumb keep in mind I’m still not 100% recovered from my damn brain injury okay 😭 it makes it hard to find my words in real time and I tend to forget what the hell I’m trying to say when what I’ve already said isn’t written down… anyways, yeah.

Your voice is medium pitched, what I would consider a medium timbre.

Your professional pitch voice is higher toned and actually a bit grating. Your natural voice is much more pleasant.

You sound as if you have a basic Midwestern accent. You do the thing that some people do, especially folks from the upper Midwest, in which you sort of bite down at the end of words. I'm not sure if that is just your natural voice or if you were just nervous because you were recording.

Overall, your voice is very nice —pleasant, even soothing. Bright and cheerful.

I'm sorry you had a brain injury. The wife has had similar problems and she has trouble finding words, too. I hope your recovery is going well.

@DunningKruger this is actually way more detailed than I had even hoped for, thanks! And Midwest, interesting. I’m actually a SoCal native! I might have toned down the likes a bit more than I would have had I not been recording. That might have masked my valleyspeak a bit.

And thanks, how did your wife hurt her brain? I had a really bad car accident March of last year, resulted in a severe concussion (grade 4) that lasted 2 & 1/2 months, followed by post-concussive syndrome for many more months. Didn’t even hit my head; whiplash had my brain bouncing off the front and back of my skull. Paramedics found me unresponsive. Had full anterograde amnesia for about 6 days (and a bit of retrograde). Luckily no skull fractures or major bleeds.

@Zeuro I'm not as familiar with the Southern California accent, so I missed that.

The wife had a brain tumor the size of a golf ball, so that did some damage. Later, she had a cerebral aneurysm and suffered a mild stroke a few days after the doctors went in to stent and coil it —put a little sleeve in the stem and then feed in and coil up a bunch of platinum wire to create a permanent clot.

I'm sorry you've suffered that. I hope you're all recovered now.
