How do you feel about the nationwide solidarity strikes in Italy in support of Gaza?

If politicians can easily work together on preventing the government from shutting down and defaulting on its debt, then why can't they work together on all other issues? Wouldn't it be good to stop the tug of war between both parties being in power?
