Why did Canada decide to diversify its trade partners away from the U.S., and what are the biggest benefits they've seen so far?

Divergent politics as well as the tariffs.

Can't say they are taking the right direction. They are missing a huge opportunity with Mexico. Mexico has higher tariffs 35% by the USA then the USA has tariffs on Canada 25%.

Canada could be making a killing. Just don't do anything within the 200 mile USA waters.
