Why do women yell at us for leaving the toilet seat up but never put it up for us?

Why do I have to accept that the girl chose my friend over me, and why should I be happy for them when they hurt me and make me feel like I've wasted my life and time to find a girlfriend?
Humans are inherently selfish, and even if they are truly in love, they have that love because of themselves. Is that right?
