Why is letting someone hold your unlocked phone considered such a big trust move in relationships?

Is it possible for a dictatorship to exist without narcissistic traits in its leadership, and what would that look like?
Should I be actively finding a husband to settle down and have kids with? I haven't met him yet. I am 42 and still a widow with a son.
