Why do US citizens consider their president to be the ruler of the nation as opposed to being an employee of the US citizens?

Is humanity truly ready for a global civilization? We have spent hundreds of thousands of years as hunter gatherers tribes, we spent thousands of years building empires, and hundreds of years trying to create a global age, is our brain truly ready?
Why do you think it’s easy to miss the signs of a child in danger, even when surrounded by other people? What can be done to prevent this?
