Do you think France's new public smoking ban is an example of top-down government overreach?

How has France's existing anti-smoking laws, such as the ban on smoking in restaurants, been received by the public?

Yes, and not just smoking. Yet public brainwashing on a number of public issues.

There's a difference between making public information available and pushing it down everyone's throats.

Making information should be a constitutional right. While forcing such information is immoral.

@DeWayfarer how is it forcing information down people’s throats? 🤣 You could argue that for literally any law ever made 🤣

@iamthe99 It's broadcasted nation wide on public broadcast stations. There's no reasonable way to ignore it!

And I do mean reasonable!

This is not laws BTW.

They literally say things way beyond the laws.

Governments will keep moving the goal posts, we allow them, time to say no.

@ElwoodBlues

Well maybe they should clean up the food from chemicals, the water from poisons and the air they spray shit onto us everyday.
@Achelois Instead this administration is moving in the opposite direction!

This is NOT a joke:
Apr 1, 2025 — The Trump Administration repealed the Clean Water Rule, protection for 60% of the nation's stream miles and millions of acres of wetlands.

Mar 12, 2025 — The Trump administration announced drastic plans to undo pollution standards vital to the protection of Americans' health.

@ElwoodBlues

Talk is cheap.
