How do couples navigate the challenge of one partner being away from their home country, especially when they both love different places?

Why is my best friend saying I talked bad about her when all I said was that she shouldn't have lashed out at me? I don't understand why she's saying this. And then she says that she hates me. We've been friends for as long as I can remember.
