Are relationships a setup for a heartbreak most of the times?

Has confessing your feelings to someone ever improved your friendship with them, even if they didn't feel the same way?
Why do some Americans think that they can speak English? They cannot speak English! It is too butchered and simplified to be real English. Disgraceful.
