I have a 10 yo 50" Samsung plasma that still has a fine picture. It's in the bedroom and I've always been happy with it

why specifically a 1080p? I can't really see the point after 1080i, but my eyes aren't fantastic.

@Sidewinder I had a 35" Mitsubishi CRT. It lasted 13 years....but I love my 4k UST projector and 110" screen.
