Does it bother you if someone you are relatively close to ignores you?

Or do you not pay much attention to whomever doing that and figure, "whatever, it is what it is."

I've given up on almost everyone at this point in life

It's all about the now or so it seems as genuine long term relationships regardless of type of relationship are few and far between.

It bothers me. I have a best friend whom I've known since 5th grade. The last couple of years have been somewhat chaotic for me. Now I don't make a habit of always reaching out for help, by any means...but in this case, just having him around would help. It seems like we've drifted apart and that makes me sad. I know things have been tough for him also, so I do my best not to cast blame. Still hurts. I miss my friend.

That is sad...I'm sorry.

It will bother me yes.
And I am the kind of person who can begin detaching quickly if it bothers me enough.
SW-User
@OWise1: Even if its not the only choice for me..I will detach from them. I do not know why I do this. Perhaps a buffer preparation for future disappointments.
OWise1 · F
@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: Perhaps that is your coping mechanism.
SW-User
@OWise1: Yes.
It used to bother me. Now i don't care about my brother ir sister at all. Go your own way...
@OWise1: i used to care but they have been soooo damn mean to me through the years I'm tired of trying with them. I tried 2b nice. I just don't wanna take anymore chances. I'm jaded now. Been hurt TOO much by them...Matter of fact i don't trust most people anymore either..i just need to find myself friends./or a woman i can trust and be compatible with in personality and looks.

It bothers me a lot. I am learning to accept it.
But it really has changed my attitude toward this person. I could never think of trusting her with anything serious again.

It bothers me more than it should.

But I hate being ignored by people who matter.
OWise1 · F
I don't like it much either and yet somehow it often doesn't bother the one who is doing the ignoring as often whomever pretends to be innocent...what a joke lol
SW-User
@OWise1: I tend to start distancing myself then. The only way it would stop bothering me is if I pretend the person doesn't matter as much.

Perhaps a good philosophy...to give someone a taste of their own medicine.

I'm not sure if it's ever happened...
