What do you like to eat, drink, cook or bake when the weather turns cool and crisp?

It’s officially fall. For many, that means changing leaves, new TV shows, football, Halloween and pumpkin spice everything. What do you look forward to most this time of year?
In Arts & Leisure, for example, you can find a Fall Preview of new and noteworthy TV shows, movies, music, video games, books, theater and art. The preview includes the video game The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
In a big twist, Princess Zelda is a playable protagonist in the series that bears her name. To rescue Link, she will rely on a magic rod that can create copies — “echoes” — of beds, rocks, enemies and more.
And the TV show “Agatha All Along”:
Kathryn Hahn returns to her “WandaVision” character in this Marvel spinoff series. The witch Agatha Harkness, stripped of her powers, hits the road and forms a new coven; the cast includes Joe Locke of “Heartstopper,” Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Aubrey Plaza.
Autumn is also a time for cooking cozy and delicious meals, like this chicken noodle soup from the Cooking section’s collection of fall recipes:

Fall is for sports — football, basketball, baseball and more take place between September and December. The W.N.B.A. playoffs began this week, and The Times writes:
Two superteams, the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty, dominated the W.N.B.A. season, as expected. They were so good that only two other teams in the 12-team league even managed a winning record.
A final between them has the potential to be a classic. But first, they will have to make it through the six other teams in the W.N.B.A. playoffs.
It’s also the season of Thanksgiving, the Jewish High Holy Days, Diwali and, of course, Halloween. In a recent edition of The Morning newsletter, Melissa Kirsch writes about the return of “spooky-season décor”:
I received the “They’re back!” text from my friend Greg in Oxford, Miss., on Monday evening. “They” were the Halloween inflatables festooning his neighbor’s lawn, as depicted in an accompanying photo: a jack-o’-lantern with a ghost flailing from each eye, Skeleton Medusa, two spiders the size of Volkswagen Beetles.
How do you feel about fall? What do you like best and least about this time of year?
Do you have any rituals or routines to celebrate and embrace the season?
What do you like to eat, drink, cook or bake when the weather turns cool and crisp?
What do you like to watch, read, listen to or play?
What fall holiday festivities do you most look forward to?
What activities do you enjoy that you can only do this time of year?
Do you have a favorite autumnal memory?
Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to this fall?

Here's my personal take on this: I think my favorite holiday in the fall time is Halloween. Because you can have fun with your friends. also I love being able to dress up and get a break from my true self. I get to play some fun makeup looks as well. it makes me very happy.
Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the aesthetic of it the weather the baking and most of all the activities. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I'm so hyped to match costumes with my friends and get candy. I also love the seasonal pumpkin chai at Starbucks it's my favorite drink and I wish I could have it every day. I'm so excited for the fall shopping and the pumpkin smell back in the air. Fall is one of those seasons that is under appreciated. Fall turns the colors of the leaves on the trees to make them look more interesting instead of boring green. Fall brings in lots of rain which isn't the best thing but is very relaxing to listen to while you are inside. Falls weather isn't one of the best, but it gets just cold enough to start wearing hoodies which is the best. Fall also brings us Halloween and thanksgiving which are 2 undervalued holidays in itself. Fall is the beginning of winter which is tied for the best season with summer. This is why Fall is under appreciated.
Fall is the perfect time for cooking and baking because the weather has just turned cool enough for the oven to be on. The chill breeze that has crept into the air makes way for "cozy" and "delicious" new items on the menu. At the top of my lists are pumpkin spiced muffins and homemade apple pie. For me fall is my favorite season, it’s both spooky and cozy. The first smell is the best feeling, when the leaves start to fall creating an amber carpet walking to school. The smell of pumpkin spice floating around in the air. Fall has the best activities in my opinion, the apple picking, haunted houses, carving pumpkins, corn mazes, watching your favorite spooky movies, especially with a cup of apple cider. I love the feeling of wearing cozy clothing, snuggling up by a fire and have a good time with your friends. Not to mention temperature, not too cold but not too hot, so you wouldn’t need to bundle up. Fall is like a warning sign that winter is starting to approach, preparing us for the cold weather to come, which I love the most For me, fall is both fun and bittersweet. I love the beautiful weather and the general feeling of it all, however, fall is a sign of the potentially harsh winter to come, which I do not like. In the fall, there's many things I enjoy doing, one example being a visit to the Danada fall festival: A yearly event where people gather together to experience some stereotypical fall fun. I’ve gone to this event every year since I could remember, and it is absolutely my favorite fall highlight. Overall, I think fall is a great season, and its sorrowful significance of what's to come can be ignored when viewing the bigger picture.
I love fall. fall makes me so happy whether it's football, the leaves turning orange and red, or apple picking It's really an amazing time of the year. What I really enjoy the most is college football back on. seeing the crisp air on a fall Saturday night when there are top 10 SEC teams playing really is an amazing sight. watching the games either at the stadium or at my friends house enjoying the night is just so awesome to me.
I just love fall. Fall has always been my favorite season. I could imagine living in a state where the trees don't turn orange and red, where the weather doesn't turn colder, no sweaters or UGs. I just love fall. I'm so excited to go pumpkin and apple picking, carving pumpkins, wearing cute fall clothes, field hockey season. I'm excited for Halloween, dressing up, and trickier treating. My favorite color is burnt/terracotta orange so its so cool seeing that everywhere. Fall movies,, cuddling up in fuzzy blankets. Don't get me wrong, I love summer, but I don't think I could ever live in a state without fall. This fall I am looking forward to actually enjoying the holidays. Overtime as I got older I lost spirit for all holidays it just doesn't hit the same anymore as it did when I was younger. Me and my friends had planned on doing things this year together to enjoy our holiday. We planned on going to Halloween parties, making desserts together, matching pajamas, and watching Halloween movies. I am mainly excited to watch the fall movies which I do enjoy watching movies.
Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons! Right after summer, of course. But I love the whole vibe of autumn, the leaves changing are so pretty, and the seasonal drinks at Starbucks and Dunkin'. The comfortable clothes, and especially the holidays. Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays and is something I look forward to every year. Activities like pumpkin and apple picking, bringing friends and family together is something exclusive to this time of year. The coziness of the fall is someone everyone can appreciate, at least that's what I figure.
Autumn is both cold and exciting, Fall is the beginning of Winter, the temperature drops significantly, we begin searching for warmer and comfortable clothes, warmer meals. Animals prepare as well, you’ll see several animals with thicker coats of fur as they stock up on food for the winter. Beyond that, Autumn is exciting, several holidays begin their approach, Oktoberfest, Halloween, Thanksgiving, as well as The Day of the Dead. Many individuals are often excited for the pumpkin spice flavors in foods, desserts, and many popular drinks.
This fall, I’m looking forward to pumpkin patches, fall drinks and the weather. I love the crisp air and seeing leaves of the ground of all colors. Both summer and fall are great seasons, but fall has so many good activities. I get to wear my favorite things; sweatshirts and sweatpants. Football games become back in season, and fall decorations are back out. Something about fall is just so amazing
What isn't to like about fall? The colors of the leaves, the sweater weather, can't forget about the food, and of course all of the fall activities, everything turns beautiful. My favorite thing about fall is my friend's Halloween party we have every year. We usually start with a weird game in her room, then we did pumpkin carving last year. Mine was good enough to brag about, my Mickey Mouse was excellent, and when we turned it into the heaviest mask ever we all had to laugh. Next we usually then go inside and do a competitive game. Then sit and watch a Halloween movie. This is usually my favorite part, there are many memories made during this part. Most of them are hilarious and now they are inside jokes. By the time we all go home, we are laughing so hard we can't breathe. This is the one thing I look forward to every fall, and can't wait for the new memories this fall will bring. The moment one orange leaf touches the ground marks the beginning of by far the best part of the year. Many things make fall the best season. The cooler weather gives room for layering clothes without overheating -- being perfect for interesting and fun outfits -- and even if you don’t have the want or need for such outfits, the autumn season provides the ideal environment to wear comfy sweaters and pants. Beyond that, the cooler weather of the fall months provides a good excuse for homebodies such as myself to relax in a bed of many blankets and pillows and stuffies not too dissimilar to a nest and snuggle up with loved ones, enjoy seasonal treats, or watch whatever comfort movies you fancy. The truly most amazing section of fall is the month of October; Being able to dress up is fun, whether you decide to wear a silly, scary, or impressively constructed costume, and I know I will always cherish the time I spent going to the pumpkin patch with my family to pick out a pumpkin. Similar to what was stated in one of the articles, I find extreme comfort in the spooky ghouls and scary spiders that litter the streets on Halloween night. Some might not enjoy fall for its cold weather or scary themes but I love the month of cozy nights, pumpkins, and screams.
Fall is so beautiful and colorful it's my favorite season but what makes it so special? When I think of fall I think about my routines to embrace the season many people may have the same thoughts as I do about horror movies, the beautiful crispy leaves, the pumpkin spice-flavored things, and the scenery in general. Beyond that, there are many more things that you can do, some of my rituals are decorating for Halloween with my family and seeing what we are going to use this year, reading thriller books and then talking about it to my mom knowing that she loves these kinds of books, watching scary movies with your friends or your family or even alone, but I feel like fall is a way to connect with your loved ones, fall feels yet so cozy but also scary but it is all depending of what you do talking about fall Halloween always comes to mind and that reminds me that I have always celebrated Halloween but I never celebrated it like the people that are surrounding me now –I come from a different culture– so its never been the same while I talk to them about it, although I never actually went trick or treating we would go to the mall and get cany there. Fall has always been more about cooking and spending time watching movies. So what is fall for you?
The best thing about fall is that it doesn’t have any disadvantages. Furthermore, autumn has always fascinated me with its beauty and calmness. Chill weather and warm sweaters — especially those my mom has made for me — always captivate me. Not only does autumn satisfy me with its beautiful landscapes and colorful greenery, but it also brings back memories of my sweet childhood when my family and I were so close together. We had even created our tradition — making picnics in forests and picking mushrooms there. We would bring all the delicious sweets that my mom would make and lay them out on a soft, fluffy blanket that we carried to the middle of our path. And we would eat as a whole family, chat, and have fun together. In fact, this article says, “Fall is one of the best times of year to observe nature,” just like we used to do it all the time during the fall season. Although many people don’t like fall because of school and homework, the memories of picking mushrooms and running around the beautiful yellowing forest have been imprinted for me as one of the best in my life. Therefore, I always picture myself and my family when I hear the word "fall,” because it makes me the happiest person in the world. No matter how old I am, I will always remember mesmerizing leaves falling at my feet, colorful landscapes turning gold and gingery, and of course the delicate taste of my mom’s warm and delicious pumpkin pie.
Every year I get so excited for fall, and this year is like every other. However this year I yearned for the change in season even more. Now don’t get me wrong I loved this summer however the excitement I felt during the buildup for the first week of college football this year was unmatched. Maybe it’s because my favorite team is finally good, or maybe it had just been too long since the last time I had turned on the tv to observe a game, but I was ready. The first Saturday of college football season, I sat on my coach without a care in the world for 10 hours straight, it was glorious. However, that was only the start of what fall brings, halloween, cool weather, thanksgiving, and I am ready for it all.
Crisp air filled with the soft smell of coming rain and the last of summer's wildflowers, radiant morning skies that turn into bluebird days, and trees that line the streets bursting with leaves of fiery red to mustard yellow and every warm tone in between. I love our PNW fall. One of my favorite things about the fall is its weather and beauty, it's perfect conditions for walking, running, hiking and just being outside. Many people are excited over fall for the pumpkin spice latte and cozy on-the-couch movie nights, but personally, I can't pass up the few golden weeks of this prime weather. I love to be active outside. Though every season has its own beauty, cool mornings and mildly warm afternoons, shining sun, and calm winds are pleasures only found in autumn. It's very much a time of transition -naturally and culturally- things are changing. I'm a runner, I've run through every season, and the fall is my favorite for many reasons. I thrive on scenery, and the views can't get better than the vibrancy of fall leaves and the clear skies. Beyond that, It's really hot all summer, and pretty much any other time of the year it's rainy and cold, except in fall. The time of transition is the happy medium that makes for very enjoyable outdoor experiences.
Whether it's the Corn Maze, Carmel apples, or just the autumn air, everyone has a ritual for the fall season. When I think of my fall rituals I can't help myself from centering in on –The Pumpkin Patch–it is the essence of fall for me. I have gone to the Pumpkin patch every year for over twelve years, the brisk autumn air, the vast farmland glistening in the sunset, and the intoxicating aroma of apple cider. Although the pumpkin patch is my favorite, there are multitudes of other rituals, including watching scary movies, enjoying pumpkin spice-flavored things, or walking in nature with someone you care about. Beyond that, one of the most popular rituals there is Halloween, despite my family and I’s lack of decoration it's still a fan favorite. We use it as a way to bond and connect with loved ones by watching scary movies together or giving out candy to the trick-or-treaters, Halloween is an incredible way to embrace the season. Whilst it is a time to be in nature and with loved ones, it also marks the start of sports, the number of sports there this season is many, but despite all of my choices I choose to join my school tennis team, even though this is my first year doing it I plan to make it one of my rituals for the future.
Fall comes, turning the world into a colorful masterpiece and bringing a cool, refreshing breeze. Fall is a wonderful time of the year for many reasons. It feels like a time when nature is at its most honest and beautiful, showcasing its true colors. Cozying up in a soft sweater, sipping hot apple cider, and enjoying the company of friends and family during events like Halloween and Thanksgiving. These moments create lasting memories and a sense of comfort. Fall is a transition period that prepares us for the colder months ahead. The cooler weather is a welcome break from the heat of the summer. There are some downsides to fall. The shorter days mean less daylight, which can affect our mood and energy levels. The bipolar weather makes it challenging to plan activities and outfits. Fall is often seen as a romantic season. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful scenery make it the perfect time to fall in love. The thrill of a good horror film can bring people closer – creating shared experiences and memories that last a lifetime. This combination of romance and excitement adds another layer to why fall is such a special time of year. It's important to acknowledge that not everyone feels the same way about falls.
Whether it’s because you love Gilmore Girls, pumpkin spiced drinks, football games, or you play a fall sport, I feel like everyone has a connection to fall. In my personal opinion, there are a few things (of many) that I look forward to every fall: Drinking apple cider, and binge watching TV. Imagine just laying in your bed, watching a rom-com or a horror movie, or even a mix of the two, all comfortable and warm while leaves fall outside. Sounds like a dream to me. Another thing I look forward to is Halloween. Just driving around and looking at all the decorations with hot chocolate at hand, it's one of the best feelings in the world. Although fall is a very fun time of year, it can be both exciting and annoying. Putting up halloween decorations can be a fun activity to do with family, but taking them down at the end of the month can be exhausting. What’s more, dressing up for Halloween and trick or treating is very fun, but as your feet get sorer and the weather gets colder as the sun sets, it starts to not get as fun. But, the good thing is that when you get home, you get to eat a little bit of the candy you collected! So all in all, autumn is definitely, in my opinion, a time to look forward to because of all the bits and pieces that bring friends and family together.
There’s just something so magical about fall – the scent of pumpkin spice in the air, cozy sweaters making a comeback, and the comforting sound of leaves crushing underfoot. It’s the season of early sunsets, warm lattes, and rewatching classics like Gilmore Girls and Gossip Girl. Personally, fall is my favorite season because of my birthday, concerts, Halloween, pumpkin spice, fall trips, and the memories. I can talk about fall for hours. I'm looking forward to November.
