One of her responsibilities as VP was to talk to Latin American leaders about finding ways to make people want to stay in their own countries rather than trying to get into the USA. She was never a"Border Czar", there never was a "Border Czar", and the Biden admin came up with a non-partisan immigration policy that met the demands of the GOP right wing -- and Doddering Donnie Trump gave the order for the GOP to scuttle the plan because he didn't want the problem solved because then he couldn't use the issue in his campaign.
