Why do more people have the stamina to take risks after a car crash than to continue working after a series of psychological defeats?

The difference between physical and mental pain is not the same things.

I have had extreme amounts of both. And at a fairly young age, under 17 on both.

You pass out on the physical pain if it's enough BTW!
