What is your favorite grocery or food store ? 🛒🛒🛒

Well there are so many of them out there.
Here's a few of em here in the US.
You have IGA.
You have Krogers.
You have Food Lion.
You have Aldi's.
You have Dollar General.
And of course the old favorites like
Walmart and Family Dollar.

My favorite is The Dollar Tree. 😂
You are not going to find a better deal.

@beermeplease that was my favourite store until they closed down the only one near me and turned it into yet another No Frills store.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I like Longo’s and Fortinos but I normally shop at No Frills because I can get many of the same products for less
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Jenny1234 Cool.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Jenny1234 Longos for bagels. 🤤

Wegmans is the best grocery store in the US. Based in Rochester, NY it is found mostly in NY and PA but as far south as VA and as far east as MA. In many national polls, Publix and Wegmans rank first and second in some order. I've shopped at Publix, but I think Wegmans is better.
@windinhishair I am by no means an expert, but Wegmans is my favorite grocery store.

@windinhishair As a Southerner, I'd have to say they are neck and neck.

@Jenny1234 I feel you, my bill is usually around $500
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Jeephikelove what do you buy there?
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@Jenny1234 I get my paper products and some cleaning supplies there, clothes, at least 1/2 our food comes from there, soap, toothpaste, baby wipes

Trader Joe's

Id have to say Wally World is my favorite even though they stopped opening 24 hours. Walmart lol in case you never heard it called Wally World lol. Their fruit is consistently really good though i wish they had more organic selections. They dont carry everything but overall id have to pick them as my favorite.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Penny The regular Walmart or the Walmart market store. 🤔
Penny · 46-50, F
@Zonuss ive got like a super walmart
chrisCA · M
I am in Canada, and my favorite is Metro.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@chrisCA Ok.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@chrisCA I like metro too but I try to shop where I can score optimum points
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
I only have a choice between two. And it's a difficult choice between the high prices at Vons or the poor selection at Stater brothers. 😞

Neither are on your list! 🤣

Publix, "where shopping is a pleasure"
SeaGlass · F
@Zonuss Indeed, they do!
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@SeaGlass is it truly a pleasure though?

I loved Harry's before Amazon dissolved them.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@eventtemple123 Amazon is a beast. ☺️
@dale74 I was in our local the other day, they seem to have improved over the past few years, BUT, their cryopak meats and steaks are HORRIBLY expensive.
dale74 · M
@NativePortlander1970 we just got an Aldi less than 6 months ago I've used them lots of times when I travel and the one there at the house tends to have lower prices on most items like milk egg fruits vegetables and other package items and then our local Kroger and Walmart but I really hardly ever shop at Walmart because well I can't stand waiting in line at a check out that long
@dale74 One reason why I avoided Aldi's for decades is because of their infamous long lines from only one open register, now that they have self checkout the lines are shorter.
Harris Teeter and Publix
$1.25 "meats", um, ok
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@NativePortlander1970 Why not. It's all the same regardless of what you may think. ☺️
@Zonuss Oh yes, worm riddled "beef" is so good for you 🤢
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@NativePortlander1970 I don't eat beef. Ha...wrong again.☺️
