Most people have "small world" stories--meeting a person from your small hometown on the other side of the world on the only day you'd both be in the same spot, etc.

Pretty much exactly that. I moved from Arkansas to California, and the first week I was there exploring downtown I ran into one of my high school classmates.
@SomeMichGuy We weren’t friends really, we had had band together in high school, so we knew each other. When we saw each other walking downtown in San Jose it was just a surreal moment.
