@bijouxbroussard Teal is a shade of cyan, or at least it should be. There is as much variety of color in between blue and green as there is between red and yellow. Cyan as a family of colors makes so much or sense than cyan as a shade of blue.
@bijouxbroussard Cyan is a mixture of blue light and green light, or a range of wavelengths between blue & green. Cyan pigments reflect the range between blue and green, or perhaps it's easier to say they absorb a range of red wavelengths. We were taught colors in terms of pigments, but the eye is a light sensitive device, and colors make more sense when thought of as mixtures of light.

Cyan would be the bluish green portion of the chart, and could be made by appropriate mixtures of the left two corners of the white triangle, or other green + blue sources.
