What do you know about all (or some of) the 50 states without Googling anything?

So, I don't know how many of you know this, but I'm from Iceland and have lived in the U.S. for a large chunk of my life. I feel, however, that no matter how long I've lived here, I still don't know anything about the damn country I live in. So, here's what I know.

1. Alabama is the state that that one song "Sweet Home Alabama" (I hate that song) was written about. Full of country folk.
2. Alaska is very cold and reminds me of zombies because I watched "Thirty Days of Night".
3. Arizona is just very dry and filled with sand, I think.
4. Arkansas... there is nothing in Arkansas.
5. California is where all of the celebrities live/are from.
6. Colorado... weed and mountains.
7. Connecticut is where the one house from The Haunting in Connecticut is from. I get a vibe from Connecticut that a lot of people who live there are serious and boring.
8. Delaware reminds me of my grandma because it's old and small.
9. Florida is where Robert the Doll is from and a lot of old people live there.
10. Georgia is where peaches grow. Just what I've heard.
11. Hawaii is the most predictable vacation place of choice for about 99% of people who live in America.
12. Idaho, I've heard, is where the potatoes are from. Aside from the potatoes, there is nothing in Idaho.
13. Illinois... the home of Chicago.
14. Indiana... there is nothing in Indiana.
15. Iowa... there's also nothing in Iowa except for people who hate their lives because they live in Iowa.
16. Kansas is the place they mention in The Wizard of Oz.
17. Kentucky is most likely where the chain KFC is from. After all, the "K" does stand for Kentucky.
18. Louisiana... all I can think of when I think of Louisiana is Hurricane Katrina and gumbo.
19. Maine is where I live.
20. I know nothing about Maryland.
21. Massachusetts makes me think about witches and Hocus Pocus.
22. The only thing I know about Michigan is that Detroit is in Michigan.
23. Minnesota is where that annoying accent comes from. I will not apologize for saying that. Everyone already thinks so.
24. All I can think of when I think of Mississippi is mud.
25. Missouri. There is nothing in Missouri.
26. Montana is where all the beautiful mountains are.
27. Nebraska... doesn't ring a bell.
28. Nevada is where Las Vegas is... that's all I know.
29. New Hampshire is in New England. That's all I know.
30. New Jersey is the home of orange guidos.
31. New Mexico... no one wants to go here, and if they do, they probably are into really arid, dry places.
32. New York is where everyone flocks to when they want to be an actor, and nine times out of ten, they fail miserably.

I stopped because I got bored. That's what I have so far.

I live in Indiana.
I can confirm that there's nothing.

Nothing personal but you live in a pretty weird state.

@Ynotisay: I always tell people it's the Florida of the north.

@Macabre: HA. Without the beaches and Jews of course.
