For sure. I remember in college the Art Department had a painting class for non-Art majors -- mostly science and pre-med majors -- that was aimed at just teaching them the basics and how to find joy in creating, even if what they created wasn't very good. The students would take the class not expecting to do anything except to find joy in the release, with no expectations of creating high art.
