They say there is someone for everyone. Then why are people afraid to be who they truly are?

People make no sense. In order to find the one that 'gets you,' shouldn't the true you be revealed?

No because people shame you and shun you for being who you are. People learn that before theyre old enough to remember why they started doing that.

People in general, are insecure, however, there comes a point in time when individuals realize that it doesn't truly matter what others say. What does matter is individual happiness that comes from within. Those who shun others are not worth the effort or the time. However, your own personal journey and realization that everyone has their own kind of awesome are what counts.

@OWise1: yeah that's true still doesnt feel too good to be shamed for who you are so people are pretty quick to avoid it.

@mic11225: Also, people are so jealous of others. It's sad the society in which we live where people don't want to be happy for others.

I can understand it. Especially if the people who hurt you are the ones who get to be happy. It is still unfortunate though
