If your real mother or father were revealed to you, would u accept them ? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ

Or would you stay with the parents you have or had instead. That's a good question. If I found out my parents were not my real parents, I would you still love them. Would you still care. Would you still have a relationship with them.
Or would you leave and cleave to your real parents if they made themselves known to you.
I would stay. What would you do. Best answer shall win. ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ‘ญ

I know people this has happened to.

They accept their biological parents into their lives and are happy to start a relationship with them.

But they regard the people who raised them as their real parents. They are the ones called Mom and Dad.

I think your parents are the people who raised and loved you. I think you would feel that they are your "real" parents. My daughter is adopted and she feels we are here "real" parents.

This is the post of the day - as well as being impossible to answer with any depth.
I'm going to be thinking on this for a long time to come...

I tend to just slide over and make room. Nothing would change with my parents. Iโ€™d just have two more people to get to know.

When it comes to blood we don't have a say in who our biological parents or siblings are.
They are just the people we get stuck having in our lives for good or bad.
True family is who you choose to share your life with out of respect and loyalty for that person and also who have chosen the same of you.
So I guess I would want to stay with the people that wanted me and raised me like their own as opposed to running to someone I didn't know, but was rather bound to by blood.

@Dainbramadge Thank you.

If it turned out my parents werenโ€™t my actual parents, it wouldnโ€™t matter. I spent my entire life with them as my parents and have no place for any others. Iโ€™m too old to have that dynamic with people who werenโ€™t around for my childhood.

if i found out my parents were not my blood parents, it would not matter in the slightest to me. they raised me and they are now ingrained into me.
Blood on its own means nothing

I met my birth mother and said to her that I have had a mum and dad and the most we can be is good friends

@Whatawebsite That's good to hear
Present matters the most though in past lies the seeds of present.

Depends on the person, I guess. There's a YouTube video where this girl from China, given up for adoption because she was the second child in violation of the one-child policy, is adopted in the US and, at 22, goes back to meet her birth parents, who she really can't communicate with. Very moving stuff.

I'm not a blood is thicker than water type. Bonds are formed through trust and deed. I would give the new a chance to be in my life is they wished to try, but i would not discard the bonds I already have

@ViciDraco Exactly.
