Dude. When I do work ... My boss is the greatest boss on planet earth. No lie.
And he is a really good friend for like 23 years. That's supposed to be a no no.
He sings to me every day. LOL true.
I'm not horribly healthy so when I need a break I go sit down. He normally comes over to hang out with me.
I hate talking on the phone at work but he couldn't care less.
One day he actually had a hot job on the table and my son called because he had some code sent to my gmail account and he needed the number.
The boss just stood there like nothing was going on. LOL
I love the job and the boss is one of the most intelligent, helpful, caring, understanding people I have ever met.
So I guess yes I can talk on the phone at work. :-)

I don鈥檛 have a job so can talk whenever I want to
Zonuss41-45, M
@SW-User Lucky you.
I sometimes need to use my cell phone for work, so it is allowed. Previous employer paid me a per diem for it so I could be contacted anytime.

I know my son is restricted, as he works in assembly. My daughter isn't supposed to as she is in customer service. My Ex works in a warehouse and would get fired even looking at her phone.

When I was given a cellphone there was reasons why they did so.

When you work in remote locations, you actually do have to call others as well others having to call you.

Actually used my cellphone for other work related tasks, like doing my expense reports and sending them.

Personal calls are allowed within reason. People generally keep their conversations to their desk or a conference room but every once and a while you'll find some ahole in the corridors blabbing on their Bluetooth or worse has their cell on speaker mode.

I dont think so but we are allowed to wear headphones. I usually listen to an audio book or music. I guess if its an emergency thats acceptable. They arent really that strict as long as you get the job done.
