how hard is it to dig a 6 foot hole?

Top | New | Old
BlueVeins · 22-25
Depends on the soil conditions, but in general it's hard labor.

BlueVeins · 22-25
@BasicWaffles Much easier to force them to do it
After you dig the hole it's impossible to get out without help.
BasicWaffles · 18-21, F
@WonderGirl dang you are the next level thinker
@BasicWaffles I worked a job where I was in a hole and couldn't get out. Another worker reached down and pulled me out with one hand. 🤗

@BasicWaffles nobody really knows anything..
Magnolia21 · 22-25, F
All easy right up until you hit some clay or really wet soil. Then you remember that the claw rental wasn't overpriced at all.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Depends on the soil and if the cops are looking for you
BasicWaffles · 18-21, F
@vetguy1991 dang you sound like you have experience

As an expert , I have these questions for you before you start digging :

1. Dimensions of excavation required (width and length or diameter )
2. Location of hole / access etc - is the hole next to a tree or a pole ?
3. Any services ? Underground and Overhead ?
4. Ground conditions
5. Do you want to reuse the excavated material ? Or disposed ?
6. Is there any asbestos or PFAS in the vicinity of the hole
7. What’s the budget ?
Hard, that's why they always find the body in a "shallow grave"...
Iwantout · 26-30, M
Depending on if there's clay and how many rocks even if the ground is ideal is going to take you a while if you're the only one digging unless you got to excavator or something
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
Are you gonna put me in it??
BasicWaffles · 18-21, F
@deadgerbil no, how tall are you though?
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
@BasicWaffles 6'2 lol

It depends?

In sand?
How wide do of a hole?
Are you digging in the permafrost in Alaska, in January?
Are you digging into a granite rock?
TexChik · F
Depends on how big the 6 ft hole has to be
@TexChik 😏 good point 🕳️

Also, 6 Foot Deep? 6 Foot Wide? 6 Foot Long?

Or should it just be Big Enough
for 6 🦶🦶🏻🦶🏼🦶🏽🦶🏾🦶🏿 ?
Really Hard!
Best to find an Nice Existing Hole 🕳️
Construction Sites
Quarries, Coal Mines, even a Dry Wishing Well,
Colorado has a very Big One
Scarfface · 46-50, M
6ft deep or 6ft square ? It's very hard to answer without more details.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
6-fot long by 1-inch wide and 1 inch deep? About 20 minutes including a tea break.
Easier after the first five.
Pfuzylogic · M
After the first 20 you forget.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Depends how wide it is
AuRevoir · 36-40, M
Easy........... If you've got time........
Teirdalin · 31-35
Honestly not that bad

As in 6ft deep to bury a body?
dirt = easy
rock = hard.
BasicWaffles · 18-21, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout what about dirt with rock?
@BasicWaffles medium hard 😇
With a mechanical digger....easy.
6x harder than a 1 foot hole I imagine
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
Shallow graves are the best.
Animals will only uncover the part they are going to eat.
Digging holes is hard and sucks.
SW-User
Try it and let us know
BasicWaffles · 18-21, F
