What's the most saddening death you've ever dealt with or been the witness of?

What is the unluckiest death you've ever heard of? Throughout your whole life, whose death hit you the hardest?
For me it was my grandma I was just barely old enough to grasp the concept of death and my family got the news It freaked me out for a while What’s the most horrible way to die that you’ve ever heard of that has actually happened? What's the most undeserved death you've ever seen in a movie? What is the most saddening, emotionally painful realization that you've ever come to and had no reason but to accept? What is the most hard-hitting, saddest death you've ever witnessed?

For me it was my dad. People were drawn to him. He would talk to strangers for hours in parking lots and would i asked him these people were each time it was someone that needed someone to listen. Many times weeks and months later he was thanked when running into some as they said that 20 minute conversation saved their life.

He was the funniest man i knew. No matter what life tossed at him he had a joke for it. When hid leg was amputated he told me "don't cry...this just means i really will be busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Why this was so hard is because the week before father's day my dad committed suicide. I couldn't wrap my head around how someone so friendly, loving, funny take his own life. Depression got the best of him as he was facing another surgery.
