I’ve been turned down because of my disability and for being a mom, but it’s ok. All‘s well that ends well. can’t be the right one for everyone.
Yeah, I’ve let people down gentle and it went alright. I neutrally explained the ways we wouldn’t work out, meaning it’s not as if I rattled off a bunch of things I thought was wrong with them. I also emphasized things about myself that wouldn’t be complementary with what they want in a partner or out of life. Almost always by the end of those conversations it became clear to them that they might be attracted to me, but there wasn’t lasting relationship potential there. everything was fine after that.
