Is it weird to not want to go places without headphones?

I was going to go to a new store today but I said I forgot my headphones. When I explained why that mattered I was told I was weird. Well, the new store was very overwhelming and I am pretty sure headphones would have helped. Also, I wear them all the time even in school I needed them for lunch/bus rides because all the talking overwhelned me. Especially at lunch with all the people, and talking, and smells.

Nah. I’ve drove back home just to get mine because I felt I needed them that much that day. You gotta preserve your inner peace the best you can, and some days that means doing what you can to block out the outside world that doesn’t pause or quiet down when you need it to.
