i tried to run away a lot as a kid around the age of ten. i'm glad i was never successful. i also got kicked out a lot of my mom and grandmas house because they are both unhinged alcoholics. I was probably 12 when i was going back and forth between getting kicked out of this and that ones house.

in my adulthood, because my childhood was so unstable all I do is strive for stability. i have an encompassing fear about being homeless and i assume it's because of what i went thru

@Menetics my mom is a result of why you have to let go of anger. so I knew i had to let it go or i would be traumatizing another generation. "If you do not heal your wounds you will bleed on those who have done no wrong"

Did you ever have a one-on-one conversation about how she made you feel?
My mom got drunk one time and messaged me apologizing and (this was when i was still mad) i told her "isn't it a little late?" and then proceeded to verbally abuse me and cuss me out and insult me. It kinda really hurt my feelings. They know they fvvked up, they don't NEED me to tell them again. That is more of an ego thing imo

my mom is a narcissist. She would invalidate my feelings, and gaslight (say that didn't happen THIS actually happened and no tf it didnt i know what happened).

when it's your parents its very hard to see when you're being manipulated abused or gaslighted. so i try to not put myself in a position where i know they're going to just lie, deflect, or manipulate.

This is true.

Where’s your dad in all of this? If you don’t mind me asking.

@Menetics my dad was actually in prison until I was 15. We reconnected when I turned 19. He knows all of this. I actually moved to Florida to be with him and his side of the family that I never got to be with during my childhood

I was homeless aged 16. I slept in the bay of a GP surgery and the communal entrances of tower block flats.
Eventually i contacted a relative who gave me money for a deposit on a rental flat.
If it happened to me today i would get myself arrested and jailed in order to have a bed and food.
I lived in a barn (at a farm I worked on) in western nc for a few months, but it was by choice sort of. Wasn’t really that bad, felt like I was finally living tbh
