Islam is the religion not sure if muslimnity is a word :/

- They're both based on the Old Testament

- They both come out of the Middle East

- Their holiest city is the same

- Muslims, and Catholics believe that Jesus was born of a virgin.

- In both of their names, the world was plunged into war and chaos, many, many times.

- They both revere Mary as the Mother of Jesus

- They both believe Jesus performed miracles

Where they differ, mainly, is on a few points:

1. Jesus being the son of God. Christians believe in the Trinity (God, Son, Holy Spirit). Muslims believe that Jesus and Mohamad are both Messengers of God, as God has no physical form.

2. Jesus did not die on the cross, instead God snatched him at the last minute, just as he did with Mohamad, at a spot, a few minutes walk, from where Jesus was "taken:.

Finally, they are called belief systems for a reason. You don't need to follow any logic, to believe in something. When in doubt, and there's always doubt, you can make up your own stuff.

PS: It's Islam not muslimnity

@Kuronekko: I never disrespected you our insinuated that you hadn't examined more than one side. You asked for my opinion and I gave it. Lack of religion is also a faith and a personal preference, so I could say the same to you. That's where we're different. I enjoy learning about others, why they believe as they do, and discussing it. You are free to have your opinion, but if you ask for mine, I'm going to share it.

@Lakesidepoet: faith is believing in something blindly. If there is a higher power then no human can tell you what it does or does not want or think about or for us. That is what I have a problem with. Until I hear it from the horses mouth I'll be atheist. Like it or not, everything you believe has come from another human.

@Kuronekko: Yes, that's exactly what faith is. However, it doesn't mean there is not also evidence of what is invisible. For instance....gravity, oxygen, etc are things we cannot see, yet we have faith that they exist because there is evidence of its existence. Your choice to not believe is just as valid as mine is to believe....they are both an act of faith. Thanks for chatting. :-)

I don't think it's called Muslimnity 😂

No, Islam and Christianity are vastly different. They may share some similarities, as most faiths do, but they are very different.

You should google both and find out.

🙄 if you think that is what defines the similarities and differences then I feel sad for you

They're both stupid and fake

I don't think it's stupid for people to seek answers. It is, if they try to shove it down others' throats. The only fact, is that no one has an answer. For some, there's comfort in "rules" and a sense of relief, in the belief that what we have here, is the only play we'll ever get.

As a christian, islamic and christian beliefs are not the same. We share a lot of similarities, but islam obeys a different God than us, and they don't believe that Jesus was the son of God. A very big deal. Now there are a lot of other differences such as they don't follow the same laws. The importance is to understand that we are not the same religion.
