What's the boldest decision you've ever taken in your life?

What was the boldest/riskiest decision you have ever made in your life and how did it change you? What is the most bold decision you've ever made in your life, and how did it work out in the end? What is the worst permanent life decision that you've ever made?
Tattoos, having a child, that time you went "I think I can make that jump..." Or "what's the worst that could happen?"

Not sure I have ever taken a bold decision. But a number of people disagree with me and say that my decision to accept a job in another country was a bold decision.

@ninalanyon That’s big!

@Quimliqer It didn't seem so to my wife and I. It was a two year contract and both countries were, and are modern countries with well functioning social security and health systems. We were of the opinion that if it turned out badly the worst that could happen would be that we would return home and claim some sort of social security while looking for another job. The worst part would have been having to wait a month or two for the tenant of our house to move out so we could move back in.

And the capital cities are less than two hours apart by air so it's not as if we were moving to the opposite end of the earth.

@ninalanyon Hope you enjoyed it.

@Quimliqer We did. That was 36 years ago, I'm still here, we never went back. I nearly said "never went home", because that's the conventional way to express it, but I am at home now.
