What's the worst promise you have ever broken? What was the worst broken promise you got? I broke(24M) a promise to my girlfriend(23NB) of 8 years. I have a long history of forgetting stuff due to my super severe adult ADHD and made a promise to bring my motion sickness glasses in a car ride with some friends. I forgot them this morning and we got into a fight about it. I didn't mean too but it still happened. I have an unfortunate history of not keeping my promises for various reasons but mostly because of my poor short term memory. They were rightfully angry at me but I feel as if I was doing better in terms of being able to keep my promises till now. they said they want me to stop making promises all together but I feel like it's unfair to do that. we've argued about this a lot and my unreliability and I've tried quite a few things to help but none of them seem to help very much and they don't want to remind me of stuff. especially not promises. I broke a promise due to me short term memory, this has happened a lot. I want to fix it help. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I don't want any insults or anything I know I'm not s great boyfriend but I want to try and be better. what should I do? what can we do to help and fix this for the long term?
