Where did you take your last flight?

I take a transatlantic flight every six weeks or so. It is always somewhere between 6.5 and 7.5 hours back to Boston from London or Paris or Munich or Zurich (which is where I transited earlier this week for the crossing back to the States). I rarely use airplane WiFi when up in the air. I love the idea of many hours out of contact with the world; of being uncontactable for a spell. Just as I also like the fact that, as on today's flight (after gotten up at four am for my 7.35 am departure from Paris to Zurich) I was able to crash out for over five hours and actually wake rather refreshed (though I am certain it will all catch up with me later on). Arriving is always interesting. Having been settled into a seat for a long period of time, it's suddenly time to put everything back into my briefcase, get my trainers back on, and deal with American entry formalities (which, thanks to having Global Entry and only hand luggage, are usually rather fast).
Yesterday I spent an hour doing laundry, throwing out newspapers and anything that could go off in my fridge, and saying goodbye to my Paris flat for a couple of weeks. Tonight I will walk into my house in Maine, unpack the groceries I've picked up on the way home, unpack my briefcase, set up my laptop, go through my accumulated mail, and begin the process of settling in for several weeks in Wiscasset (always a pleasure).
I am conscious - as I approach my sixty-eighth birthday on 1 January - of the fact that time is no longer on my side; that though I might live for another twenty-five years (maybe longer), life is becoming more and more finite. There is still so much I want to do, want to see. Just as I want this final act to be as happy as possible - and ever interesting. Comings and goings are the business of life... and should be ever treasured. Has anyone missed a flight before!? Please tell me why! I just did and I missed it because I fell asleep right at the gate when they just started boarding… I woke up 20 minutes after the plane left.. first time for everything I guess. How often do you travel by air and what is your favorite Airport? How often do you fly on a plane? I got my private when I was 17. I do not regret it at all (especially since my parents paid for 75% of it) but now that I am at college I only get to fly maybe an hour every 90 days to keep current. There was one time where I did not fly for 6 months (traveling, engine overhaul) and went up with my instructor just to be safe. As soon as got airborne it all felt natural. I have my biennial flight review next week and haven't been up in about a month and a half. Just curious as to how often you guys fly. Thanks! People who fly a lot, how often do you fly and tell me why there's absolutely nothing to worry about when flying? How many times have you been on airplane? What do you do for work and how often do you travel a year? Do you go through customs at your layover or final destination? Have you ever flown first class? Who was the most interesting person you've ever been seated next to on an airplane? How many times have you tried before becoming a flight attendant? What is the emptiest airline flight you've flown on? What was your favorite most recent vacation? Where did you go? Which airport do you remember that gave you best experience? Do you always carry a book on your flights? What's your most unbelievable experience on an airplane? What was the slickest thing you have done or seen somebody do on an airplane? What is the sluttiest thing you have done that was out of character for you? When have you flirted with a flight attendant and succeeded? What was your most enjoyable flight on an airplane?

From Newark to Ithaca, NY, in June for my college reunion. We were only in the air for about 30 minutes.
Why? Are you going to reimburse?
