What Grinds Your Gears?

I hate modern writing and reboots 😒

Usually not having the clutch pushed in
Whodunnit · M
@Virgo79 😅
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Whodunnit i though twice and said it anyway😁
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
Karens, rudeness, entitled people, slow drivers, people walking in the middle of parking lots, loiterers, litterers, know it alls and so so much more.
I'm surprised I don't have stomach ulcers tbh
Whodunnit · M
@BarbossasHusband Don't hold back! lol
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@BarbossasHusband I’m so with you on that list! 👊
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
I hate most modern films/tv series tbh. The writing is severely lacking in almost everything now.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@Whodunnit there have been some recent exceptions. Lately I am really into Russian Doll and Godfather of Harlem, both have some damned great writing.
Whodunnit · M
@DearAmbellina2113 I have to admit to really enjoying Only Murder in the Building, but aside from that everything seems to be going to shit.

Being a Tolkien fan I was keeping an eye on Rings of Power but it's bloody awful.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@Whodunnit agreed about the Rings Of Power. 👎🏻

People that talk non stop. The amount of crappy tv shows and bad movies and bad music and bad politicians and bad this or that just boggles the mind. And this is what we've destroyed the planet for.. insane..

A CNC machinist by the name of Ted.
Whodunnit · M
@Nimbus 🤦‍♂️
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Nimbus One of your work-mates, I take it?

I recall one at work, a rather arrogant young woman, perhaps in her early-20s. She was not there for very long.

She arrived as usual one morning, but hardly half an hour later I saw her and the workshop manager walking grimly through the door into the corridor that led to the offices. The manager returned alone. the machinist did not return.

It transpired she'd arrived still the worse the wear from a party the previous night. Not best for loading and operating a big CNC mill; enclosed but for its fast-moving tool-changer arm .

I don't know if her immediate supervisor, the programmer and operator of the adjacent, similar machine; had reported her; but anyway she was dismissed more or less on the spot.

Nor do I know how she had travelled to work. If she had driven she would probably have done so very illegally, over the alcohol limit.

Did you ever watch the rebooted BSG?
Whodunnit · M
@Jeephikelove No, I couldn't bring myself to do so.

@BrokenAbyss That's understandable.

I don’t like reboots generally, but especially if I liked the original movie, and I rarely like covers of original songs, although there are a few exceptions.
@bijouxbroussard I like the reboot of Twin Peaks. David Lynch managed to get more obscure and mysterious. However it never would have worked originally on it's own. You'd be going, umm, ahem?
The overuse of the word basically when starting a stiry.
Whodunnit · M
@V00doo A verbal one that annoys me 'I turned around and said..' as if people start conversations back to back 😒
@Whodunnit Im now imaging arguments happening while people spin.
HankHill · 70-79, M
@V00doo I can't stand it when someone says "like" or "um" a lot while talking. I don't think they're aware of how much they're doing it and I want to tell them but it would probably come off as rude to them.
