Why Does God Need Money?

I've just received another begging circular from the local christians scrounging donations to repair their clubhouse (church) - which they like to call "God's House". Their god is said to have created the entire universe and everything in it, out of nothing, in just 6 days. Why can't it do a few simple home repairs itself?

God doesn't need money but you need to give money.

The catholic church needs more property so they can build hones for the homeless

@MarineBob Not a catholic. I don't support their 'brand' of Christianity for a some very good reasons. That does not take away from our human needs to give of our time and efforts and money to make the world a better place.

@hippyjoe1955 their best use of money seems to be defending their priests of sexual allegations

@MarineBob If I chose to believe all the stories in the press there would be no survivors of the residential schools in Canada and there I would be fully vaxed against the common cold and ...... Sometimes you just gotta back away from the nonsense. I am not a catholic and I am not defending the catholic church. I honestly don't care about them. They left the Christian fold centuries ago when they created their goddess they call Mary.

If it doesn't need money, why do I need to give it money? I'd rather spend my money on my friends and myself. You can throw yours away if you wish.

@Lynda70 bad part is they want cash not your time or goods.

@MarineBob I know, they're always on the scrounge. What I don't understand is why their god doesn't just magick up all the money they want.

The extortionist con man Moses made it part of the Ten Commandments (the 4th Commandment). He used it as a means to fund a fully-funded retirement plan for his gang of thugs, the Levites. While everyone else had to work all of their lives the Levites got to retire at fifty years old with full benefits.

@Lynda70 Typical liberal. Let someone else take responsibility for making this a better world.
