Shy girls, what hints do you drop when you have a crush on someone?
What is your opinion on girls who are incredibly shy? Do you see shyness as an unattractive quality, or do you find it endearing? I have always been very hesitant to approach strangers and find great difficulty speaking to people who I am not well acquainted with. Accompanied by my child-like looks, my tendency to blush, and how often I avert my gaze to my shoes, it becomes a very distinct character trait of mine. While many of my (mostly female) friends describe these qualities as "cute" and say that they give people the urge to protect me, I have always thought that this is what has caused me to be so frequently "placed in the friendzone," so to speak. Is assertiveness such an important quality that you would be hesitant to make advances on a girl that is a bit more reserved? Would you actually consider this shyness to be a desirable quality? How do you guys deal with shy girls?
So, I'm shy. Like insufferably. I can't remember the last time I had the courage to order from a bar myself or talk to a stranger without looking at the floor. Once I'm out of my shell, it's like I'm a different person, but I'm nervous before that. Problem is, I'm different online, so how would you deal with a girl totally confident online and then you meet her and she's shy as hell? How do I tell apart girls who are shy from girls who simply don’t want to talk to me?
For instance when they are smiling, or not showing any sign of wanting me to leave them alone, yet not talking... I'm always wondering if they are just polite and cope with my enthusiasm, or if they really enjoy the conversation. What are your experiences dating shy girls?
How do you tell the difference between an uninterested girl and a shy girl? Do you prefer if the guy you're dating is also a little shy himself?
And it's not necessarily a "dating advice" question. I'm really talking about everyday conversation. Do you like a guy with confidence and kind of outgoing or someone as shy as you? How attractive do guys find shy girls? I'm pretty shy but I'll have a good conversation with you if you start one. And you'll find out that I get loud and laugh a lot once get to know me. I recently starting talking to a girl I met online and we have done 3 zoom calls together. Because of the circumstances we won't be able to meet up for a few more weeks. Initially we texted for the first week before the first zoom call and it was an easy continuous conversation. The first zoom call went well but there were a few pauses towards the end.
I've come to learn after 3 zoom dates that she isn't the biggest talker. Which is completely fine with me but neither am I lol. So there are times where we have these silences where neither of us know what to say. Its the first time that I feel like I actually talk more than my date. She is really sweet and I really like her but I want her to open up and talk more. Any other time I'd say the girl isn't interested but she agrees to subsequent dates so I think she is just on the shy side.
