When did you know you wanted to write?

When did you realize writing was your thing and how did you make it through? I know I can be a good writer but before work, I meal-prep, clean, and work out. After work, my brain and my eyes are too tired to stare at a screen or paper to read or write, and I know this is fundamental to good writing. What have you done to overcome this?
I am also not sure if I should enroll in a writing course or read a writing book to complement this practice. What has worked out for you the most to better your writing skills besides the act of writing? At what age did you discover your passion for writing?
Thank you so much! What made you decide to write?
What initially made you want to make the attempt, successful or not, to write a story of any length?
Those who were successful: What helped you the most in succeeding in finishing your story? How long did it take you?
What do you wish you had known when you started out as a writer?
As writers we tend to have a pretty active imagination. And if you're anything like me, your ideas/expectations when you first started writing and reality are probably quite different.
What do you wish you had known when you started out? What message/motivation would you give to younger you about the ebbs and flows of being a writer? Those who weren't: What do you think caused you to stall out? Do you think you'll try again?
Those who are currently working on a project: What inspires you to continue? What resources are you using?
When did you realize writing was your thing and how did you make it through?
