If you were a child in school during the 80s then you probably did. The creator of the Trapper Keeper passed away in his home state of Georgia. His name was E Bryant Crutchfield. Mead made well over 100 million dollars per year when this product came out. It's a binder type of notebook with a strap up seal. Folders on the inside. It was so cool. I had one. Did you. 🙂

No, I did not have one, exactly, but I bought quite a few of them for my kids. But actually, I think some years the schools said, "No Trapper Keepers allowed!" I think they may have thought they were too fancy or something. I actually think I had never heard of a Trapper Keeper until I first saw a supply list that said they were banned. I just did a little research and it sounds like the biggest criticism by teachers was that they were too large.
