When did you stop celebrating your birthday and why?
When and why did you stop celebrating your birthday? At what age did you stop getting excited for your birthday and why? I stopped ages ago. It's not like it's an achievement, or at least it doesn't feel that way to me. The only thing I did was not stop breathing for another 365.24 days. In fact, only my oldest friends know when my birthday is... Simply because I don't like to be congratulated for something I don't really have any control over, I have kept it a secret from anyone and everyone I have met over the last 20-odd years. When did you stop being excited about your birthday?
When did you stop caring about your birthday? This is the first time I have no desire whatsoever to "do" something about it. When was the first time you stopped caring it was your birthday?
How many of you could care less about celebrating your birthday?
I know a lot of people get excited about their birthday but I just don’t see the big deal. It’s not anything I accomplished, it’s just the day I was born. I’m not trying to hate on anyone who does like to celebrate theirs. I mean my wife loves celebrating hers, mine, and our sons. I just never get excited about mine. Was just curious if any others felt the same?
This post wasn’t really to draw attention, it was more about my apathy towards my birthday. I woke up this morning and it just felt like any other day. So I thought why not see if others feel this way. I quickly realized that a lot of people do for a lot of different reasons. I also realized through reading many comments that I have a lot to be thankful for in having people that genuinely care about me not just on my birthday but everyday. I know not everyone has that and it’s not something to take for granted.
Next to the topic of my title. I know the saying is couldn’t care less and that I didn’t proofread the title and it’s says could. Even in saying they couldn’t care less they have to in so way care or they wouldn’t feel the need to express it. So in fact they have room to care less. So I think could care less is more appropriate.
Thank you for the silver award too. It’s my first award. Lastly everyone that shares my birthday, I hope you have the happiest of days today. Everyone else happy belated/early birthday! What age did you stop enjoying your birthday? At what age should you stop celebrating your birthday or expecting your birthday to be celebrated? What age did you stop / your family stop celebrating your birthday and what did you feel that birthday? Does anyone else not enjoy their birthdays?
I like spending time with friends, eating good food, and getting small gifts but don't enjoy the aspect of it that makes me the center of attention. Does anyone else feel the same way? At what age did you stop caring about your birthday?
I have just stopped caring, I couldn’t care more about my birthday in 2 months (I think it’s 2 months at least) so I’m just wondering at what age did you stop caring about celebrating it…?
