What do u think of when u hear the word September? 🍎

September is here. Yes I know, it's getting close to Christmas. Start saving your money. Ok. Remember you heard it here. Now let me ask you this. What comes to your mind when you hear the word September. I think apples. I think football 🏈. I think homecoming parades
I think carnivals. Fairs. I think 9/11.
And of course I think Labor Day.
And nicer weather too. Your turn . ☺️
Having fun yet. 🤭

First thing I think of is this classic tune by Earth, Wind & Fire...

Every time I hear the word "September" my brain instantly goes

"Do you remember... When it was laast September" 😂 then I skip straight to yelling "HIIIIYEEEEAAA, SAID THAT YOU REMEMBA"

I think of summer weather having worn out it's welcome, and the worst is usually the third week of September when it literally burns to be outdoors, you walk out and it is the sensation of having lifted the pan off a pot of boiling water. Heh, then the weather reports say, "I hope you enjoyed that pleasant 125 degrees we had today because the real heat wave is coming, huh huh huh..."

And soon there will be this laundry list of holidays to suffer. Especially christmas when the criminals REALLY step up their game and people start acting extra sh*tty.

@CestManan Really. The third week in September down South usually feels a chill in the air. As a matter of fact we feel it right now. 🙂
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Zonuss I hope you are right. Around here, Sept will get progressively cooler but then right around the 21 the heat will kick in like it hasn't all summer. As if to punish us for enjoying the cool-down or maybe just the summer trying to put up one last fight.

One actual autumn does hit though, it is often the gray-sky damn drizzly version most days.
The elements here typically just suck

Back to school, because my Facebook feeds fill up with my friends' pictures of their freshly washed kids in clean and smart uniforms which will no doubt be ruined by the end of the first week, if not the first day.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@AirForce687 School has returned.

@SunshineGirl Yes. Thought I was the only one who noticed this.
September has a special feeling.
It's nostalgic. It's refreshing. It's calm and mild all at the same time. ☺️
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@Zonuss Well I'm always slightly melancholy at the end of summer, but there is plenty to look forward to and I always love the routine of returning to studies 🙂

Color, cool, birthdays, boots, county fair, joy. It’s one of my favorite months. 😊

Back to school.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@chrisCA Yes.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@chrisCA These days, don't the kids get out like July 1st and have to go back July 15th or something? I know summer vacation is insanely short now.
chrisCA · M
@CestManan In Ontario, Canada, school gets out in the last week of June, and is back in, the day after Labour Day.

@Jeffrey53 Hockey time. 🙂
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
@Zonuss besides Baseball hockey is my favorite sport. I like football and basketball but I don’t watch it like I do baseball and hockey. Even though my teams haven’t played well in recent years I still watch them
