fresh sweet plums and dark red cherries in season. swimming and the beach. sweltering heat. crabs and more corn on the cob :)

I think of losing my mom. She died on August 30th. :(

Leo month comes to mind, most of the men I was attracted to in my youth were born in August, they all seem to have an ego, be arrogant, full of themselves and liars or cheats, not a fan of the month :)

School starting
School zones to start watching out for while driving
Stores & restaurants more crowded
College students moving back, more traffic in the city
Getting stuff thrown at my car near the university by frat boys
The month I was divorced
The first time I left my ex was in August
High electric bills
I kind of dread when August starts

The dog days off summer.
College freshmen away from momma and daddy for the first time in their life. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Traffic from hell and no parking.
Crazy work days.
Not enough alcohol.

Another month of hunkering down at home due to the heat.

Its the time of year that is the beginning of the harvest here. People are making the most of the summer and going on holiday. Like you in the US,
football is starting again. Tourists are everywhere and the days are still long.

Football, I’m another year older, hurricanes, school starts back, hot days, the back half of the year, fall is coming soon, and another holiday coming soon.

School.

I used to think of back to school even though I don't have kids. I think of possibly cooler nights even though here in Texas it is actually very hot. I guess I just am full of nonsense when it comes to August.
