Why don't you think Cancer could be compatible with Capricorns?
Hello! I am a bit confused with a fellow crush of mine. He is a Capricorn and I’m a Cancer. Both of us are in the talking stage, but we feel some sort of chemistry whenever we are together. When we are apart and texting - it fades away. We both like each other, I even confronted him about me catching feelings for him. But whenever I ask him what is going on in his head, he doesn’t answer me and ignores my questions. Is Cancer with Capricorn compatible romantically? Also any things I should know about Capricorns that people don’t really know? Thank you for your answers! Capricorn men: I have pretty great chemistry with them. A lot of the conversations I've had with Capricorn men were really great and never felt dry or boring. They often find me quite funny and vice versa. A few of the Capricorn men I've met I really dislike and can't stand. One of them I straight up hate, I would say out of all the Capricorn man I've met I hate probably three of them. I've never had real emotional or romantic feelings for any of the Capricorn men I've met. But sometimes there's an attraction though. Some of them can be pretty mean and strict. Also can be quite rude. Capricorn woman: I have ALOT of chemistry with Capricorn women. Pretty much almost all the ones I've ever met I clicked very well with. One of them I'd have phone calls, texts etc. With each other for weeks (everyday too) I never feel like there's a dull moment when I'm having a conversation with a Capricorn woman. Most of the time they always find my sense of humor hilarious and often I find them very funny too. We can spend long periods of time just cracking up together. However, they can be very very mean and insensitive. Almost every Capricorn woman I've met ends up having an extremely mean, cold, rude, defensive, judgmental and insensitive nature to them. That's where I draw the line and why I don't know if I could ever be best friends with one or rather close friends. The chemistry is definitely there, I just refuse to endure the extreme meanness. Capricorns! What sign do you see yourself ending up with?
As a Capricorn I’ve always found myself really drawn to water signs. While I’ve never really liked Pisces men, I could totally see myself falling for and ending up with either a Cancer or Scorpio man, hopefully the latter. What about you guys? Is there a particular sign that you think you could romantically/long term end up with, or you have a good past with? I’ve “dated” (gone on dates/had flings with) lots of Libra men & they’re really fun in my opinion. They just make me happy. We usually just go explore, and I like that they like being active as much as me. Its usually easy because they talk the most and I can just listen and chime in every now and then. I enjoy their easy going energy, same with Gemini’s & Aquarius’s. — But I guess the negative with Libra men is that they fall in love with everyone so in my experience, they don’t stay around long. I have a 4 planet Aqua stellium, so this may be why, But i honestly enjoy the air signs company way more than the other signs. They feel easy and light. Gemini’s and I can just cheel and laugh and do some dumb shit, or we can have super deep conversations and be real. Usually always creating something cool artistically when I hang with a Gemini. Aquarius’s are just fun. They’re as honest as me, and they love to talk and philosophize. They’re also just super positive and cheerful. I (cap/gem/gem, w/ a pisces venus) used to think water signs were my “the one” but after failed relationships with a pisces, a cancer and another pisces, and generally preferring to be best friends with Scorpios, I don’t think that’s the case anymore. In fact, I think water signs are much more compatible with me personally as friends. I’ve been with my Capricorn sun, Capricorn moon, Gemini rising girlfriend for a while now and I feel like the communication/willingness to communicate is much better. Both of our love languages are quality time, too, which helps.
Me and Liberas just connect on a different level, especially Latina libras. There’s just something that makes me want to make them the happiest they’ve ever been and show them the world through my love, but I always end up being the one left behind after treating them so good, sometimes I feel like I’m doin something wrong.
Sadly I’m drawn to all the air signs, Leo & Cancer. But mostly just the air signs. Leo men can be too snarky for me and i get my feelings hurt easily, Cancer men may be a lil too sensitive and emotionally overwhelming. Pisces are sweet for sure but I haven’t met one that I liked enough to look past the depressing sad boi attitude & clinginess. 🖤
Cannot STAND air signs. They’re ranked bottom for me because as an earth sign I just conflict with them so much. Dated a Gemini and let’s just say it ended very badly. One of my ex best friends was a Libra and I found her to be very passive aggressive and not direct, as well as being very selfish and a piranha for attention from men and was always competing with me.
I think one of my problems with pisces is the ones who get a victim complex lol. I have one friend who has already had so many problems but then makes his life exponentially worse by his mentality. I try to be compassionate while still helping outline achievable goals and plans and stick to a routine until he can get out of the darkness but he just won't even hear it. But he never takes my advice lmfao it drives me crazy!!I want to give up on him so often but, like you said, I just want to protect him haha
I can see why a lot of Caps gravitate towards Cancers while all other signs seem to lack the appreciation for them. They are our polarity/other half and I think Caps can easily feel them out because of this. Our strengths are their weaknesses, and vise versa. We see in them what we might lack in ourselves, like a TF of sorts. And if connected, one can complete the other. I also think Caps crave something completely different to themselves, and thus the attraction to water.
My ex best friend was a Pisces, and while we had a really strong compatible friendship, I ultimately didn’t like how wishy-washy she would get. She had no backbone and was too unconfrontational for us to really past things. My best friend is a cancer, and I think that they honestly have a really good inner fire that makes them amazing to be with. They are extremely motherly and devoted and act like a mama cub when anyone hurts someone they love. BIG fans of cancers but Pisces just aren’t for me :)
Scorpio. I’ve only been in two serious relationships, my ex and my current boyfriend and both men are Scorpios. I’ve also dated a lot of Aquarians and Geminis, so if my Scorpio man doesn’t work out there’s a likelihood I could end up with one those, but I would much prefer a Scorpio than anything else.

They're afraid of getting hurt or abandoned because they feel it extra hard, and for a while too. You gotta build your Cancers trust, show them you're invested (you almost gotta make them talk about shit they don't seem to wanna talk about), reassure them you're not going anywhere and that their secrets (feelings) are safe with you. Don't be superficial. They can sense that and they're not interested. Make them feel wanted (invite them to things/make the first move). But most of all, make them feel comfortable. It is super hard for me to trust someone but if we click then it’s magical. Just make sure that you are being genuine and don’t come off as you’re trying to get him to open up, because he definitely will know what ur trying to do and « get scared away ». Just be open about your vulnerabilities and by doing that he’ll feel more inclined to open up back. We’re super intuitive so he probably suspects you’re into him, but can’t decide on his feelings yet or is too scared to make a move. I say approach him as a friend and once you get to know each other, then he’ll be more open to romantic stuff :)
Capricorn woman here. I agree ^ cancer men get scared off easily. I found myself very much in tune with my previous partner (cancer) and a strong sense of connection between us. You have to know when to bend a little bit to keep them at bay. I often found that he was very emotional, but manifested it in other ways rather than crying or yelling. I think it's a strong match. My hubby is cancer, I'm a Capricorn. You gotta come at them slow, be up front, honest but approach with caution. Like a wild animal.... Let them get used to things slowly. They don't like change. Don't rush them. That's my advice.
I have cancer as my rising. I’ve always been friends with Cancers and I love them so much. One of the signs I can talk to for hours. My first kiss was a cancer guy. I fell for him hard even though he wasn’t very good looking (I tend to have pretty high physical standards) because he made me feel so good. I hooked up with a Cancer guy a month or so ago. He’s a notorious player. Not in a malicious way, hes just young and cute and he’s pursuing his dreams for a career. But that one night we spent together his attention was 150% on me. It was truly beautiful how authentically he can connect with people. Complimenting me like crazy. Making me talk about my feelings. He wanted to get together again but I shot it down because I didn’t want to get hurt. But I saw him again tonight and the feelings rushed back in. Sadly, most Cancerians I know are driven by emotions which makes it a little hard for me to say things without hurting their feelings. I am currently looking after my Sag sun-Scorp asc-Cancer moon-Scorpio Venus friend. Rock bottom phase for her. Edit: I have Cap rising and my moon finds the message overflowing with so much emotion. I re-read it again and it makes me a little... uncomfortable. I mean, sometimes I wish I had the gall to be this articulate, but no.
