If you had to give up sweet food or savoury for for the rest of your life, which one would you give up?

If you could eat only sweet or only savory food for the rest of your life , which one would you choose and why? If you had to chose between eating savory food for the rest of your life or sweet food which one would you choose and why? I gave up sugar for two weeks. The results were far more benificial than i had imagined. After quitting sugar cold turkey, what's the best way to reintroduce it into your diet?
I have a really bad sugar addiction, I eat processed sweets every day and probably average about 100-120g a day (cookies, chocolate, candy, some fruit, etc.). Other than sugar, I eat mostly lean meats, veggies, and other whole foods. It's just the damn sweets that seem to be my achilles heel.
I've quit sugar cold turkey for the past week and will probably go another week until the intense cravings have mostly subsided. But the thing is, I don't want to cut out sugar for the rest of my life. I love baking, trying new foods when traveling, etc. and would be pretty sad if I had to give up those parts of me for good.
My goal is really just to reset my mental state/physical dependency/tasting palette. I want to be one of those people that can easily restrict treats to special occasions. Someone that once in a while get's a craving for a cookie and can eat just one, then stop. The person that eats a square of dark chocolate or fruit for dessert and finds milk chocolate to be a bit too sweet. Basically, I want to become a person with a natural inclination towards limiting sugar in their diet.
I have friends who are like this, that don't really "care" for sweets but eat them every once in a while, so I know it's possible. I guess my question is, once my addiction/cravings stop and I can start reintroducing sugar into my diet, how do I do it in a way where I can adopt similar behaviors, rather than slipping back into old habits? Any precautions I should take? Is there a certain amount of time I need to wait before tasting my first brownie/cake/etc.? How do I stop myself from consuming so much sugar, when I like it so much?
I'm the eating-while stressed or bored kinda guy. Honestly if I wasn't so sporty, I'd probably be fat. I think I definitely improved my willpower over recent years but I still have ways to go. I also consume too many sugary things. I crave it and can't stop myself. Any tips on that? People around me seem to have less of a problem eating healthy...Anyway, since I overeat when I'm stressed/bored, it'd be great to have stuff to put in my mouth that would be healthy. But - I hate all types of nuts, I'm not a big fan of chewing gum and cut up fruit is just impractical when I'm not at home (mainly since it's not as good after spending hours in my backpack). Do you guys use any other form of healthy "chips" to keep your mouth busy? How did you reduce your sugar intake?
I feel genuinely addicted to sugar and I really want to cut down my intake to feel healthier and hopefully lose some lbs, any suggestions? EDIT: thanks for all your amazing tips! A sweet taste and meat do not belong together
Caramelized meats are disgusting. Sweet tasting sauce on pulled chicken/pork is nasty. Sweetened bread on corndogs is wrong. Meat is meant to be savory, as are the things that are put on them, around them, in them, etc. That is my personal (apparently unpopular) opinion. So I have a problem: I love sugar (particularly chocolate) and go nuts with it. I don't cook with sugar as I intentionally don't buy 'sugar' but I will buy all sorts of sugar/processed stuff at the grocery store. I am a boredom eater and this stuff is easy. What are some easy snacks I can get that are low in sugar and low (ideally non-existant) in prep time. Bonus points for a longer shelf life as I worry about food waste if I don't eat it fast enough (I live alone).

I could more easily give up sweet foods than savoury. But it would be difficult, merely less difficult than giving up savoury foods.

Savoury though I do occasionally take some dark chocolate. I have been a vegetarian since I was nine; the rest of the family and the world thought I was insane but I didn't care. Rightly or wrongly I've followed what felt right for me. Everyone else has the right to do the same.

I’d give up sweet because being forced to eat only sweet would result in an early death

I can easily live without sweet food
