When was the last time someone left and you weren't even able to say goodbye?

My dad, he stopped breathing right before my eyes unexpectedly. I miss him terribly, he was my best friend. Life is full of bad surprises, it is like a punch to your gut sometimes.

Hug your mom and dad , and those you care for and love when you get the chance to, and tell them you how much you love them. Nobody is promised tomorrow.

When dad passed 2 years ago.... he was in a residential home and we couldn't visit due to covid. He passed from old age. I take a bit of comfort he wasn't a covid victim

4 years ago. Uncle was in the hospital. Dad told me to go see him. I waited about 2 weeks and by that time, he had fallen and got sent to hospice and was unresponsive 😞
