Friend has just had a stillbirth at 35 weeks. She has COVID. How do I help her..

After years of trying and finally getting pregnant my best friend just messaged me saying she’s just had a stillbirth at 35 weeks, today. She just found out an hour ago. She has COVID and she hadnt felt it move.. she was so far along. Then couldn’t find a heartbeat. What do I say to her. Any experiences or anyone comfortable with sharing?

She is in shock at this time. It is not about what you say. Be there for her. She may need to cry. She may want to be held. She may be angry. Ask her what you can do for her right now and then in the days and nights to come. Take it slowly and with love. This is heart wrenching. If she is religious, she may want to speak with her support. Ask her if you can call anyone for her too. She may want to be alone. Go with what she wants and love her. She may not want to eat even. Be her best friend like you are. Blessings.
