Friend has just had a stillbirth at 35 weeks. She has COVID. How do I help her..

After years of trying and finally getting pregnant my best friend just messaged me saying she’s just had a stillbirth at 35 weeks, today. She just found out an hour ago. She has COVID and she hadnt felt it move.. she was so far along. Then couldn’t find a heartbeat. What do I say to her. Any experiences or anyone comfortable with sharing?

Nothing you say can make her feel better, don't agonize over finding the right words. Just tell her that you're sorry for what she's been through and you'll be there if she needs you. Maybe gently invite to hang out together, and cook her some foods if you want to provide further support. Doing normal things under abnormal circumstances can feel insurmountable.
