When you talk about homeless some people on sw get offended. Why is it that everyone hates homelessness yet no one wants to do anything about it?

Because there is no quick and easy fix for it.
Most people don't want to have to work at making problems go away. They just want to wish them into the cornfield.
So when someone brings up an issue like homelessness that will take some diligence and maybe some self-sacrifice to solve, it reminds them of how insignificant they themselves are to the rest of the world.
