These days they don't go too loud so probably not.

Better to be safe then sorry though. You don't want to damage your hearing, there aren't a lot of options if you do.

I still play AC/DC very loud, except when I have two of grandchildren in the car 馃殫 as they love classical music and very quietly

I watched a short vid that it affects the ears more due to being inside. I decided not to buy plug ones.
