Why do people get upset at being blocked?

Perhaps there is more to it than I'm aware but who cares if someone that you probably having nothing in common with and would never talk to blocks you?
What am I missing?

It depends on how it's done. If it's done so you can seize the almighty last word, that pretty bad. Hit-and-run blocking is for snowflakes. Then there's the way in which you've been caught by a lie, so you use your power to delete/block to make it right. I hate that. But, yes, if you are only mad because of a block, then you're the snowflake
