Do you love living alone?

ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I do... Mind you with 3 cats you're never, ever quite alone
TessDun · 36-40, F
@ozgirl512 True as pets are better companions :)
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@TessDun depends on the companion lol
I love living alone. I've been alone for 8 years.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@WonderGirl1 It's empowering and peaceful
@TessDun Absolutely.

It's better than having roommates and always being known as 'the quiet one'. I realize that I'm a highly sensitive person, so I don't find much joy or use in a lot of the superficial outings and conversations people often engage in. The type of person that seeks out deep and meaningful connections feels pretty rare, so in that way it's better to live alone than to be an outcast among others.

I think I would enjoy living with a romantic partner, but women don't seem to have much interest in me, so I have to settle for making the best of the single life.

@TinyViolins I feel you, as for me it irritates me the most when I am questioned why I am being so quiet in a group full of loud people, specially at work. I am not as quiet though with the right company. Truly agree with you it is better to be alone than being in a group but feeling out of place.

@TessDun I've learned to embrace the loner identity fairly well in the last few years, and I think the people that have a problem with it are mostly coming from a place of insecurity. It pains me to see how much empty babbling people are willing to do in order to fit in
no . its not safe. which in meaning if i am working and fall and break my hip and can not move. who is to help. if i fall sick and am in bed i would be forced to call a ambulance to help me.
if i want to just sit and watch tv there is no hand to hold.
there is no one to share my life story with over coffee in the morning. or my worries . so being alone is not for most. man was not meant to be alone. it takes at least two. just my thought. mark
its all the little things that add up
TessDun · 36-40, F
@markansas You have good points here too. It is advisable to be with some support specially at certain stage in life. I worry the same for my mother too specially at her age when she is all by herself.
@TessDun some like me cannot afford outside help. we are just making do with what we got. and it is what it is. kinda sad .
TessDun · 36-40, F
@markansas I do agree, while there is an undeniable peace and freedom being alone it is also nice to have someone who shares the same wavelength and provides great company and support
Tonydang · M
Yes for the last 10 years now and love the freedom
TessDun · 36-40, F
@Tonydang It's nice to be able to do almost everything in your own space
Tonydang · M
@TessDun it really is I’m so used to it now I would struggle to live with anyone
I like it... but I don't love it.
TessDun · 36-40, F
@HootyTheNightOwl Hmm maybe for the reason that it can get lonely sometimes
@TessDun Yeah... I don't like to feel lonely, and I worry about suffering from a medical emergency by myself, too.
Yah in a secured villa with security around and housekeepers
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
Nope ..🥺 not for long!
TessDun · 36-40, F
@AngelKrish I prefer it now
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
@TessDun i stayed alone in another city for 2 years ..when i feel low or depressed or sick ,no one was there for me!
